Pro-Life Action of Oregon is an independent, Catholic, nonviolent† and pro-active educational and networking project whose leadership is located in Portland, Oregon.  We are a member of the American Life League Associate Program.   We are dedicated to one simple concept — that all human beings are to be protected and defended from the moment of creation until natural death.  We are in 100% agreement with the Catholic Church teaching on contraception.  We know that the contraception mentality and failures lead to abortion.  We are committed to the sacredness of human life.   We network with pro-life leaders in Oregon and around the country, including:

PURPOSE – To Defend the Faith and Life!

  • To be a source of information about the Catholic Church’s constant teachings on abortion and contraception.
  • To be a source of information about the Catholic Church’s constant teachings that the right to teach children about the facts of life belongs exclusively to parents.
  • To defend the rights of parents to opt-out their children from “sex programs.”
  • To be a source of information about Planned Parenthood’s population control goal, sexuality programs in schools, political lobbying against pregnancy resource centers and against parental notification laws.
  • To provide information about local pro-life activities in Oregon, from Portland to Eugene to Bend.
  • To network with pro-lifers in Oregon to build an army of protesters and arm-chair activists.
  • To provide churches with pro-life information.
  • To speak at your church about pro-life issues.
  • To get more individuals involved in the pro-life cause.

Speakers Available For Your School, Church or Organization

You can schedule one of our speakers to talk to your pro-life group.  If your church does not have such a group, we can include in our talk reasons why a pro-life group is vital.  We can also offer tips for starting a group.  Included in our talk are pro-life literature, some of which are free of charge and some of which are modestly priced.

Our PLEDGE  OF  NON-VIOLENCE

I condemn, and will never engage in, any acts of violence against abortion clinics including patients, abortionists, medical staff, office staffers, and delivery service personnel.  Nor will I engage in acts of violence resulting in property damage.

In my efforts to expose what abortion is, I have looked evil in the eye.  Too many citizens are blind to it.  I will not cover up the face of evil.I believe that abortion, although legal, is an act of violence against the lives of a pre-born baby and its mother.  Nevertheless, I pledge to use non-violent means to expose what abortionists do.

Pro-Life Action of Oregon Joins ALL in Fight to Restore Human Rights to All Human Beings

Washington, D.C. (02 October 2009) –  American Life League is proud to welcome the first ALL Associate group in the state of Oregon.

Based out of Portland, Pro-Life Action of Oregon has a momentous battle to fight in one of the country’s most pro-death states. Oregon was one of the first states to legalize abortion in 1969, and the first state to legalize physician–assisted suicide in 1994.

“Egregious atrocities committed against human beings’ lives are happening every day in the state of Oregon,” said American Life League president Judie Brown. “Side by side with Pro-Life Action of Oregon, we will fight unceasingly until every human being in Oregon is recognized and protected as a human person from their very creation.”

Pro-Life Action of Oregon, headed by founder Nina Rhea is an independent, Christian-centered, proactive project.  The group is dedicated to providing information about local pro-life and personhood activities in Oregon as well as building a coalition of human rights activists. Pro-Life Action of Oregon also provides churches with pro-life information tables and guest speakers, efforts designed to recruit more individuals for active involvement in the pro-life cause.

“Pro-Life Action of Oregon proves that even within the darkest corners of the culture of death, there is hope for human rights and justice,” Brown said. “Even in Oregon, we will see the realization of the civil rights movement – we will achieve recognition of personhood for all human beings – from the smallest children in the womb to the sick, weak and elderly.”

Pro-Life Action of Oregon is now one of American Life League’s growing number of Associate groups that cover half the nation, plus groups in Canada and Africa.

American Life League was co-founded in 1979 by Judie Brown.
